Preserving 600 Years of Sacred Lineage, Culture, and Community — One Family, A Thousand Voices, Rooted in Umuozu, Growing Across Generations.
The Umu-Bisike Family has thrived for over six centuries, with one of its most remarkable strengths being the ability to trace its origin and lineage with clarity—thanks to well-preserved oral traditions and documented ancestral records
The Bisike Family is one of the most revered lineages of the old Isu Clan in present-day Umuozu, Imo State, Nigeria. With a rich history dating back over 600 years, the family traces its divine origins to a providential act that transformed a fading bloodline into a thriving dynasty.
What began with our forefather Bisike Nwoke, a man divinely favored in his old age, has grown into a global network of over a thousand descendants across Africa, Europe, the Americas, and beyond. The family’s remarkable story is steeped in ancestral wisdom, sacrifice, unity, and a commitment to communal leadership.
Rooted in heritage, love, and divine purpose, the Bisike Family has remained a pillar of strength within and beyond the Umuozu community. Through the Bisike Family Meeting — our central governing body — we continue to foster unity, resolve issues, preserve traditions, and celebrate milestones.
It has taken well over 40 years of labour, to produce and document a wholesome picture of the ancestry of an evidently divine family for the benefit of the yet unborn children of the Bisike Nwoke Family.
